CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEARS WINNERS!
Firstly, a big thank you to all those who entered our first photography competition. The standard of images received was fantastic. You'll see that throughout the club's new website we have started to use some of these, we'll be adding more in the coming weeks.
The judging was tricky - with so many good shots, deciding on the winners was far from easy! Alas, winners for both the senior and junior categories are below for you to see. The winners will be presented with their prizes (one years free membership) at the forthcoming AGM at the end of March.
SENIOR CATEGORY WINNER:
A beautiful linear mirror
Jason Read
''....Me and my brother Harry did 24hours on widgeon back in September 2017 in the hope for me to catch my target fish, (the 2 tone common). My brother had not long joined and had only been carp fishing for a few months. To cut a long story short I had a cracking Mirror just shy of 15lb and my brother the cheeky so and so goes and lands the 2 tone common at 20lb 5oz. And a new pb for himself. He was chuffed to bits and so was I as I got to see the chunk. I still haven't caught it myself but I will one day....''

Junior CATEGORY WINNER:
Double trouble
Jenson Thompson
Jenson with two perch caught from Creekmoor
The juniors section was even tougher to judge, we would have liked to name every entry as a winner! However, Jenson Thompson's brace of perch has been declared as number one, the smile on his face captivates the reason we all go fishing. Well done Jenson, may you continue to enjoy your angling young man.
