Winterborne Zelston trout lake is owned by the club and is situated just a twenty minute car ride from the centre of Wimborne. The lane to the lake is opposite the Botany Bay pub on the A31 west of the town and easily found.

It is a spring-fed lake which benefits from the clear, chalk fed water so often found in Dorset. It is open all year round, but is much fished in spring and early summer. It is an ideal venue for stalking the locally bred rainbow trout which are stocked on a regular basis with larger trophy fish which are introduced regularly to add to the enjoyment.

There is a small lodge in which to shelter, if necessary, where you can fill in your catch returns. In the small lean-to attached are various rakes, etc. which can be used to clear the odd swim if needed.
