SEPTEMBER  LAKES REPORT

Hello fellow Game fishers,

With Autumn upon us, the days are growing shorter and at last we are experiencing some cooler weather.

In my experience this is the time to look into your fly box and seek out a crane fly or two for some great sport casting to a rising fish!

At Rawlsbury there are few places better to go for an early morning session as the mists roll over Bulbarrow!  And Cowleaze and Chapmans lakes are now fully stocked with our superb fighting rainbows.

I know I have waxed lyrical but it is the time of year to enjoy some great sport

in what must be one of the best fishing venues in Dorset.

A significant amount of marginal weed has been cleared by our band of volunteers this month and I must again thank them for their hard work and cheerful banter.

The situation at Winterbourne Zelston is as you can see below waiting for some much needed rain and for the time being has to remain closed.

I look forward to hearing about your fishing exploits next month. Oh yes, please remember to sign in at Rawlsbury farm before you go down the track.

Best wishes

Paul.
