A great stretch of the River Stour situated on the southern bank downstream of Canford Bridge. Movement along Oakwood Park is relatively easy using the path. Large catches of Roach and Dace can be made.
PERMIT APPLICATION
All residents living permanently in the Oakwood Park housing estate, on the north side of Oakley Lane, west of Canford Magna, may join Wimborne and District Angling Club as a licensee for an initial fee of £10 to fish the adjacent stretch of the River Stour only, as shown on Map 17 of the Club's website. The initial membership term is for five years and may then be renewed at no cost so long as the holder still permanently resides at an appropriate address on this housing estate. There are rules that apply which will be sent to you when your permit is issued (together with a map) and are also available online as a pdf below.
