WDAC has a well-established and popular match section. Match attendances regularly exceed 24 entrants and it is customary to pay out 1st, 2nd and 3rd places with a silver fish payout in addition. Matches are held almost every Sunday throughout the year, with a popular evening series running Wednesday evenings 1700 - 2100 May - Aug. There is huge camaraderie with stiff competition for bragging rights. Matches are fished at both club and local commercial venues with fees, including pools, ranging from £12 to £20 dependant on location.
