OCTOBER 2018
The last quarter of the year and the leaves show their autumn colours before they fall and drift away on the breeze. British Summer Time has now gone along with those long warm summer evenings though we can still expect some spells of settled weather between the seasonal wind and rainfall. Not my favourite month but on the plus side we can expect more rain to increase river flows and clear the swims for our winter fishing.
Jim has finally had the long awaited surgery and he is now back home and on the mend. We all wish him a speedy recovery and provided he takes things easy he should be up and about and feeling better soon. Hopefully after a long rest he will return to his beloved match fishing, be repairing poles and blessing us with gems from his knowledge and experience on just about everything.
Into October

A points system will apply and a trophy for the winner, more details to follow. Stillwater matches will carry on as normal as per your Club Book Match Lists so hopefully on days when the river is unfishable, there will be an alternative.
