NOVEMBER 2018
The last quarter of the year and the leaves show their autumn colours before they fall and drift away on the breeze. British Summer Time has now gone along with those long warm summer evenings though we can still expect some spells of settled weather between the spells of cold winds and heavy rainfall. As December rolls us into our winter season, the Christmas holiday is soon to follow then a new year opens bringing us new expectations and challenges.

Jim is now firmly on the mend and back driving again. Not strong enough for fishing but well on the way to a full recovery.
He is dearly looking forward to returning to repairing poles and fishing and he will soon be with us again and blessing us with gems from his knowledge and experience on just about everything.
Jim Finch
An interesting start to the series with two matches fished under quite different conditions. The first match saw the river rising and carrying its first autumn floodwater. Try as we did, we failed to catch anything larger than a few ounces so bleak and minnows were the order of the day. In the second match the river level was back to normal but there was very little flow and an east wind but it stayed dry and most had a reasonable days fishing bringing roach and dace to the scales.
