ALDER HILLS

An urban coarse fishing lake situated close to the Rossmore estate. Set within a Site of Special Scientific Interest the fishery offers excellent pleasure and carp fishing with many large fish present.

DIRECTIONS

  • At the end of Herbert Avenue turn right onto Alder Road.
  • Follow the road to the Sainsbury’s roundabout.
  • Take the exit towards the Sainsbury’s superstore.
  • Take the first right into the Heatherview medical centre.
  • Park in the car park.

 

 

FACILITIES

  • Two designated disabled swims on the small lake. Disabled swims to be vacated on request.
  • Two disabled parking bays in car park

FISHERY RULES

  • Fishing is permitted 16 Jun – 14 Mar inclusive.
  • Members are not permitted to arrive at the fishery earlier than 12hrs before the commencement of a new season.
  • Night fishing available. Members must be in possession of a valid night fishing ticket. Night fishing is not available for guests.
  • Barbless or micro-barbed hooks only.
  • Maximum two rods
